EMBA 705 Leading Innovation

Professor: Shari Worthington

The course is designed for students interested in analyzing and developing firm strategies where innovation plays an important role in creating and sustaining competitive advantage. Theory is combined with practice, providing opportunities to test the theories, models, and strategies learned. The course provides concepts and frameworks to help understand the interaction among firm strategies, technologies, and markets. Students develop an understanding of the mechanics and practices of new product innovation, entrepreneurial strategy, and developing an entrepreneurial advantage. Students will act in the roles of key decision-makers and solve problems related to the development or maintenance of the competitive advantage of the firm in a given market. We hope you'll stay for informal conversation with the current EMBA cohort at 5:30pm to learn about their unique experiences in the program!
