Clinical Shadow Dress Code Policy
The dress code in the clinic should reflect a high level of professionalism, which inspires
confidence among the patients and co-workers.
1) Dress clothes (business casual, suit not required), no jeans and nothing too short or revealing. No scrubs.
2) Comfortable dress shoes with appropriate hosiery/socks. Dress boots below the knee with a low heel is acceptable. Work boots, snow boots or rain boots are prohibited in the clinic setting.(No open toe shoes or sandals for safety reasons.)
3) Jewelry should be kept to a minimum. (No long, dangling accessories)
4) A clean, ironed lab coat identifying you as a Suffolk University student. (Provided by the Suffolk Radiation Science)
5) Hands, fingernails, and hair must be kept clean at ALL times.
Fingernails: Must be kept short. Chipped fingernail polish is not allowed.
Hair: Must be combed. Shoulder length hair must be pulled back.
Facial Hair: Beards or other facial hair must be groomed.
6) Piercing jewelry should be kept small.
7) Perfume, strong scented lotion, cologne, and after-shave are not permitted.
