MS in Law – Life Sciences Mini-Class: Introduction to Data Security and Privacy

Join us for an engaging and timely talk by the Academic Director of our MS in Law: Life Sciences program (MSLL), Prof. Renée M. Landers. Learn more about data security and privacy in this mini-class. All members of the public and the Suffolk community who are interested in exploring this vital topic are invited to this mini-class.

Reports of data breaches and other data security and privacy lapses appear regularly in the news. This mini-class will invite participants to explore issues involved in protecting the privacy and security of data and other information used in the life sciences sector. Topics will include how U.S. federal and state laws attempt to cover data security and privacy, as well as how this U.S. approach compares to international laws and systems for tackling data security and privacy.
